avi files
Does anyone know of any programs that allow 2 or more avi / mpeg files to be combined into one long file.
Cheers
MPEG files happen to be mergeable by simple concatenation of the files. AVI on the other hand, need to be merged using a program like Adobe Premiere, or any other video manipulation program.
I dunno of any such program being freeware. The few you find on the web are usually just doing a concatenate, and thus only really work with MPEG.
But if you find anything, be sure to let us know !
youpla :-P

I am knocking up some avis from a 3d program and want to join them together, to produce one long avi. Obviously you''re the ones who visit the porn sites, because you know about this!!
LMAO
No I don''t
I just heard about it ... hehe, yeah right... ![](tongue.gif)
On a more serious note, AVI cant be just concatenated, so it''s like I said, you gonna have to use something like Adobe Premiere... I dont know of any other program of this type, actually, so maybe if you look hard you''ll find a pearl on the web ? If so, be sure to let us know !

i think a program called MGI VideoWave lets you play 2 .avi or 2 .mpeg videos as one huge video I''ll see so if I am lucky than I will post back on what happeaned...
I haven''t gotten arund to playing with the VideoWave but i fund a program called VideoFactory 1.0 which could be used also to make one big .avi file...
Hay man if your still looking for help on the .avi movie thing i just mad a video in VideoWave good thing it snowed lastnight i now have more time to code, tewak the movie, and write my papers.
File formats that you can play with include ------------------>
Microsoft(.avi), VideoWave(.scn), Quicktime(.mov), MPEG(.mpg),
JPEG(.jpg), Powerscript(.eps), fpx-format(.fpx), Microsoft Paint(.msp), Adope Photoshop3(.psd), Kodak PhotoCD(.pcd), Portable Network Graphics(.png), TARGA(.tga), Mac Pict(.pct), Tagged Image File(.tif), Windos Metafile(.wmf), Pc Paintbrush(.pcx), Production Files(.sbp), and like 2-3 more. I have an old version so if you get a new one than you may have twice as many file formats that you can import into it, also mine has about 20 good features.
I put a NBA file of Steve Franis dunking (a ''.avi'' file), and a .bmp file, and some sample files that came with it, and a i think it was ''.avi'' or ''.wav'' file for some cool sound effects than i minupplated the ''.bmp'' preatty cool software i always thought it was just crap on my harddrive i guess i was wrong time for me to upgrade i want to see what the new version has in for me to play with.
Now if your looking for highend quality than you may want to do what ahw said and look into a Adobe program at www.adobe.com get some money out because some of these programs require big spenders.
