I just got linux(kde) two days ago, and I''m trying to install glut. I tried to follow along the readme in the linux folder and I''m stuck I either don''t have imake or have no clue how to use it. If you know how to install it, please help me. Thanks - Andrew Corrigan

Personally, I think that SDL is better for use with OpenGL than GLUT, but that''s just me...

rm -rf /bin/laden
First, you seems confused.KDE is not a Linux distribution ( distro ), but a desktop environment , like Gnome, that is included with most distros like Redhat, Mandrake.
If you installed Redhat7.1 or 7.2 and selected the desktop installation, I''m quite sure that gcc ( compiler ), OpenGL and GLUT are installed out of the box.
Installing the Mesa-devel package installs the GLUT libraries.

maybe you should download and install that package or try to reinstall it from your distribution CDROM
